- This building was used as a distribution center and the company who
owned it repackaged
pesticides here.
- The reason this was a Superfund site? More then 5 tons of said pesticides
were buried under a concrete slab in the building. Apparently these were,
for the most part, removed. Though there are still monitoring wells on the
property so the government either didn't get everything or is just trying
to be thorough. Contaminants included indane, chlordane,
dieldrin, DDE, DDT, coal tar distillates, and halogenated
organic solvents. Tasty!
